The wax is handmade by us in France. Pure, simple and vegan!

100% made from natural products: pure aromatherapy grade Oleum Amygdalae (almond oil), vegetable wax, jasmine oil and vitamin E.

We use ingredients that are not tested on animals. Oleum Amygdalae is used for massage so is the perfect component to emulsify the wax and as it is also used to soften, soothe, and re-condition skin it will help keep ‘Rigger’s Finger’ at bay. Of course, vegetable wax is also a key component in the hand conditioning.

The Chinese, Arabians and Indians used jasmin oil medicinally, as well as for an aphrodisiac and for other ceremonial purposes. It is said to have many therapeutic properties including use as an anti-depressant and antiseptic. As you can see, it doesn’t just smell nice. Not that smell should be dismissed as incidental. The olfactory sense is one of the most evocative. Don’t you find sometimes a certain smell will provoke powerful emotions or memories? Ask any fan of the characteristic smell of hemp.

NaWax comes in a generous 100ml (3.4oz approx.). Being under the maximum size for airport security, it can travel with you in hand luggage and the aluminum tin jar will withstand anything baggage handlers throw at it if you don’t.

Most people treat rope to improve its feel and handling. Waxing tends to minimise shedding and creates a lovely patina on the rope. A big advantage, that not everyone appreciates, is that this reduces friction without significantly affecting the way it holds knots. This means less drag when lifting into suspension, making it easier and increasing safety margins by reducing the load. It also helps to lubricate the fibres. If they rub together without a lubricant, wear is accelerated just like in a car engine. This sort of damage can be caused externally by the sawing action of rope against rope or by the fibres within the rope itself. As in an engine, this wear can lead to catastrophic failure. Natural fibre ropes have a relatively small safety margin, so you shouldn’t compromise this with neglect.

Keep your ropes in peak shape!

WARNING: CONTAINS NUT OIL. Not suitable for those with allergies to nuts.

The old version was made with beeswax that we replaced with vegetable wax for a vegan formula.
